Post GIS

GIS substations are a new face of today's model of AIS (Air-Insulated Substation) power distribution stations, which due to its high capabilities can cause optimal changes in the field of electricity production and distribution.
AIS posts are insulated with air, which requires more space to build this post. While in the GIS substation, there is insulation of SF6 gas between the electrical equipments that make up the substation, which requires only 10% of the space of AIS substations in terms of required space. SF6 gas has extinguishing properties, high electrical endurance, odorless, colorless, non-flammable, etc.

GIS posts are completely covered and weather changes do not affect it. The space required in this type of post is such that it is possible to build it underground. This advantage provides this possibility to sensitive industries such as refineries where there is a possibility of ignition.

Other benefits of GIS post:
- Due to the placement of conductors and other substation equipment inside the closed enclosure, the substation equipment is far from external contamination.
- Less noise of power key operation
- Can be used as a mobile post
- High mechanical strength
- Earthquake Resistant
- Fast installation and setup
- long life
- and very little maintenance and also in terms of post and staff security, GIS post has a higher reliability factor than AIS post.
